It’s up to you to read the situation, and react accordingly. Some will rush in for a swift melee strike, while others fire barrages of bullets at an unsuspecting Shadow. Learning the behaviour and attacks of each metallic menace goes a long way to ensure your survival, and there’s rarely a better way to get past an enemy than to slice them into pieces. There are spikes, trash compactors and massive laser beams you’ll need to dodge to keep your health bar topped up, but the selection of robots firing lasers your way are an even bigger threat.

It can’t be understated how well Shadow controls, with incredibly responsive controls that just feel ideal for the challenging levels.Įach of the linear stages you’ll have to tackle is packed full of enemies, with a boss fight to overcome at the end. You begin with a sword and a jump, but gain plenty of skills as you progress. But stay just out of its range, as when the laser disappears, you can get some free hits on him before he stands up. Phase twoīecause the blue laser’s effect lingers, you can’t immediately run towards the boss. Once Biohunter loses enough health, he will call down another blue laser to begin phase two. Make sure you aren’t behind Biohunter when he lands, or he will throw bombs behind him. This fight is all about patience, and you will need to repeat this maneuver every time the Swag Blade resets positions. Be sure to stay under Biohunter while you do this, as it will avoid most of his projectiles. The sequence will cause the Swag Blade to spin in a circle around you, damaging Biohunter. A simple trick that makes this fight much more manageable is to jump in one direction, then turn back to the other direction at the height of your jump. When you enter the arena, immediately head to the platform’s left or right side to avoid the blue laser.
